About Me
I am a Crone. The 65 year old mother of 7, six of my own and one who came to spend the night and just kinda stuck around.
I live with the love of my life, and oldest friend. (We have known each other since we were 3 & 7). We were married once, but found we are happier without the marriage license.
I found Paganism in Oct. of 2006.
After so many years of not being able to express my beliefs, it's a wonderful feeling to belong and know others believe as I do.
Music that makes the feet want to dance.
Any music that moves the spirit.

Irish traditional, especially the pipes and bodhran drum are my favorites.
I enjoy some of just about everything else. Just depends on the song and the artist.

Did you ever feel like you would like to just curl up into a ball and hide from the injustices of the world?
That's how I am feeling right now. This move that is being forced on us is really hard for me to take. We have lived here for over 8 years, and boarded our horses on the grounds for nearly 20, now all of the sudden we have to get out. NOT FAIR!!!! All of this because of a lazy fairgrounds director that would rather play games on his computer all day than do his job, and is so incompetent that he has mismanaged his county funds to the point of being almost totally broke. The dumbest thing he is doing is shutting down the only thing on the fairgrounds that brings in any revenue, the RV park and the barn and stall rental.
We are moving to another town, 40 miles east of us. The little town is a good place to live and I am not upset about having to move there in particular, but we considered this home. We have spent a lot of money and time on our yard and garden, we have 2 apple trees, an elm tree, 14 rose bushes, 3 honeysuckle, a wisteria, not to mention 19 different herbs, strawberries and our vegetable garden. Some of this we may be able to take with us, but most of it will have to stay here, and knowing the county workers like I do, it won't be cared for and everything will die for lack of water. I am just sick over this.
At our age any kind of change is hard to take, but to be uprooted from of our home is devastating. I know we will survive this, we have weathered worse storms, but there comes a time in life when you just want to sit back and relax, and enjoy the end of your life.
I guess the Goddess isn't through with us yet and there are still things we need to do or learn, but boy has She given us a stinker of a lesson this time.
Well enough sniveling, whatever comes we will face and overcome, but I am going out kicking and screaming all the way. lol
Hope everyone has a blessed day and may the Goddess bring peace and joy into your life.
A Natural Witch is an individual that feels 'Spirit' within everything. This deep connection is, in-part, a calling that has been felt or sensed since childhood, as if an individual were born 'knowing', 'seeing' and 'hearing' beyond this modern life as we know it.
A Natural Witch is an individual quietly following a path well traveled by ancient wise men and women who were mystics, healers and magicians within their clan and communities.
A Natural Witch never stops studying, learning and practicing their craft. Each Natural Witch has their own style of practicing, and is usually a solitary practitioner, absent of a religious label.
A Natural Witch is in-tune with the voice of intuition, psychic abilities, and generates energy from the moon and tides. Magick is practiced in harmony with the four elements and generally comes naturally in the form of remembering (yet study is always on-going nonetheless).
A true Natural Witch is never evil-driven, but rather quite the opposite, as we are driven by the divine - love and light. There are more Natural Witches than what many would care to believe. We are men and women within every community on the planet. We are mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts and uncles. We might hold jobs as school teachers, police officers, doctors, nurses, fire fighters, and so on. We are the ones who quietly deliver a genuine smile to the stranger with a frown. We are the ones who quietly light candles and send blessings to all of humanity for peace, love, health and protection. We are also subject to stereo-typing, banishment, and many misconceptions - yet we rise and continue on quietly - harming none.
This started out as a comment to a blog a friend wrote, but the more I got into it, the more I realized this is something everyone should be aware of, so I decided to post it as a blog.
Some times I wonder about these animal “rescue groups”. Last winter a very good friend of mine was diagnosed with lung cancer and had to move to another part of the state for treatment. She had 5 dogs and 5 cats and no one to take care of them so I volunteered. We found out that her cancer was terminal and she only had weeks to live so homes had to be found for her animals. I spread the word among our friends and one of them sent a “rescue group” to see me. At first I thought they would be able to help us out, but after talking to them for awhile they started asking questions like, “does she have any other family", "are there any heirs", "how much property does she own", blah, blah, blah,….questions that had nothing to do with rescuing her animals. After listening to this for awhile, I told them I wouldn’t need their services after all and they left. Behind my back they went to our mutual friend, got Smoky’s phone number and started calling her, telling her I wasn’t taking care of the animals, that they were going to have to call the pound and have the animals put down because they were being neglected and in too bad of a shape to be adopted out. Needless to say this upset Smoky to no end. When I found out what was going on, I was furious. I ended up going to the sheriffs department and getting an order of protection against these people, but the damage was already done, and although Smoky understood that what they were telling her was untrue, what little time she had left had been tainted by the cruelty of these supposedly compassionate people. We did find a reliable rescue group who took the small animals and another friend’s son took the big dogs. Unfortunately Smoky didn’t live long enough to know that we had found good homes for all of her animals and they were being taken care of.
If you ever need the services of a rescue group, please, please check them out before calling on them. I later found out that these two women were well known in our area, and had, had many complaints filed against them. Their main objective was to get pet owners to “donate” money to their cause. The animals and their welfare were way down on the bottom of their list of priorities.
A veritable blend of all the pantheons and perhaps a dash of a few other religions as well, you're the versitile Ecclectic Pagan. You have no problem wearing an ankh while setting an offering to Herne on your alter just below your image of Hera. You don't believe in coloring within the lines, and are a bright free-thinker. While you respect the views of your fellow pagans, as far as you're concerned, religion is the sky, and there's no one about to clip your wings with lines and limitations.
